What is OTR?
On the road charges (OTR) are added to all new motorcycles to cover costs of preparing the vehicle for sale and are added to the bike price. This can include charges such as the first registration fee and up-to the first year of tax, as well as additional costs such as pre delivery inspection number plates and delivery charges to us. Each brand will have different OTR charges which can be seen below:
The road tax will depend on the cc of the vehicle and will commonly be 12 months for vehicles under 400cc and 6 months for vehicles over 400cc. Below is a table of vehicle tax charges for each band of engine size:
