Dales Adventures On The Royal Enfield Bullet 350 Final Part
ABR Festival... Or Was It A Catch-Up?
Eventually, the journey brought Dale to the ABR Festival, another stop he had been looking forward to throughout the trip.

With temperatures soaring, it was already shaping up to be a hot day before he'd even made it through the entrance.
Now, we'd love to tell you all about every exhibitor, every demonstration and every corner of the festival that Dale explored... but if you know Dale, you'll probably already know how the day unfolded.
Within minutes of arriving he was bumping into familiar faces, catching up with old friends and introducing himself to plenty of new ones. Somewhere between chatting about Royal Enfields, sharing stories from Dave Day and hearing about everyone else's adventures, actually looking around the festival became something of a secondary objective.
It's fair to say Dale probably spent more time talking than sightseeing.
Mind you, if there was ever a place to spend a day talking motorcycles, ABR Festival is probably it.
One conversation led to another, another coffee stop became another story, and before long the day had flown by.

He even managed to claim a complimentary coffee from the Royal Enfield stand... although apparently proving you actually own a Royal Enfield helps!
Despite the heat, it was another fantastic day surrounded by like-minded people who all shared the same passion for getting out on two wheels.
By now the Bullet 350 had covered well over 1,800 miles and was still doing exactly what it had done since leaving Devon — starting every morning, carrying everything without complaint and quietly getting on with the job.
One Night Home... Then One Last Ride
After leaving the festival, Dale pointed the Bullet back towards Devon.
Not to end the trip... just to enjoy one luxury he'd been missing for over a week.
His own bed.
After ten days of hotels, travelling and living from the back of the bike, one night at home was just enough to recharge before the final leg of the adventure.

The following morning there was one destination left to tick off.
Land's End.
There was something rather fitting about finishing there.
The journey had started in London for Dave Day, travelled to Barrow-in-Furness, continued all the way to John O'Groats, wandered across Scotland, visited places full of personal memories, stopped at Royal Enfield landmarks, enjoyed ABR Festival and now finally reached the opposite end of mainland Britain.
Land's End
Standing beside the famous Land's End sign marked the end of an unforgettable ten-day adventure.
By the time Dale rolled to a stop, the trip had totalled just over 2,050 miles.

Every single one of them completed on the same Royal Enfield Bullet 350.
Fully loaded.
Solo.
Across motorways, A-roads, Highland passes, coastal roads, busy cities and quiet villages.
Through sunshine, heat, traffic and everything Britain decided to throw at him.
The little Bullet never missed a beat.
It's easy to look at a Bullet 350 and think of gentle Sunday morning rides to your local café.
But Dale's journey proves there's so much more to the motorcycle than that.
For ten days it carried everything he needed, covered huge distances in complete comfort and took him to some of the most beautiful parts of Britain without ever feeling out of its depth.
Adventure isn't measured in engine size.
It's measured in memories.

More Than Just A Motorcycle
Looking back over the ten days, it's difficult to pick one standout moment.
Was it riding at the front during the final Dave Day?
Standing beside Dave's Royal Enfield in the Dock Museum?
Reaching John O'Groats?
Returning to Ullapool and remembering meeting his dad there all those years ago?
Following the same road one of his heavy haulage trucks once climbed over twenty years earlier?
Spending quiet time with Dave's wife at Dave's graveside?
Or perhaps it was simply the conversations with complete strangers who quickly became friends because they all shared the same love of motorcycles.
Maybe that's what this trip was really about.
Not destinations.
Not mileage.
People.
Throughout the journey, the Royal Enfield community once again showed exactly why it has such a loyal following. Whether it was the young couple tackling Land's End to John O'Groats on their 125s, the Royal Enfield riders continuing their own adventure towards the Scottish islands or the countless conversations at fuel stations, cafés and festivals, everyone had a story worth hearing.
Motorcycling has a wonderful way of bringing people together.
A Bullet 350 That Earned Its Miles
One thing is certain.
Over ten days, the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 proved exactly what it is capable of.
It carried luggage without fuss.
It tackled long-distance touring with ease.
It coped with every type of road Britain could offer.
And perhaps most importantly, it simply got on with the job without asking for anything in return.
Sometimes adventure doesn't need the biggest engine, the most expensive motorcycle or months of planning.
Sometimes all it takes is a reliable motorcycle, a rough idea of where you'd like to end up and the confidence to keep following the road ahead.
Until The Next Adventure...
Dale bought this Royal Enfield Bullet 350 from us here at CMS Exeter, but this story isn't really about where the bike came from.
It's about where it took him.
If this journey has inspired you to plan your own adventure, whether that's a weekend around Devon or a ride to the very top of Scotland, don't be afraid to start small.
And if you'd like a few tips on planning a trip, packing a Bullet 350 or finding some brilliant roads to ride, just ask for Dale next time you're in the showroom.
Just don't expect a quick five-minute chat...
Once he starts talking about Royal Enfields and road trips, you'll probably be there a while!
We're already looking forward to seeing where the next adventure takes him. Until then we will have to wait and see.
